Oompa-loompas – midget, orange-faced, green-haired assistants of the wacky Mr. Willy Wonka.  The equivalent of the ancient Greek chorus, these tiny beings not only assisted Mr Wonka in his chocolate making but they also ushered out each one of the horrible children “lucky” enough to “find” a coveted golden ticket – after they caused a wacky predicament.  For each situation, there was a morality song.
